Two Russian Cosmonauts are gearing up for a six-and-a-half-hour spacewalk on Thursday to install & reconfigure external experiment equipment and outfit the exterior of the Russian Segment of the International Space Station. Aleksandr Skvortsov and Oleg Artemyev are planned to open the hatch of the Pirs airlock at 13:50 UTC to embark on their busy EVA.

The main objectives of Russian EVA-38 include the installation of an automatic active phased array antenna and telemetry system (АФАР) on the Zvezda module, the re-positioning of Obstanovka Unit #2, the checkout of locks and the status of the URM-D experiment platform on Zvezda Plane IV, the acquisition of samples from Window 2 and the removal of a payload bracket on the Zvezda Service Module.
